Communicating the Good news of Jesus

Charlie Elmore

Associate Pastor

Charlie was born and raised in Texas.  At the age of 12, he felt the call of God on his life pointing him to a future in full-time ministry.  After serving a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, Charlie moved to Albuquerque in 1994. There, he attend the University of New Mexico and started volunteering as a youth pastor at Highland Baptist Church.  Charlie has been in pastoral ministry - serving in various churches as youth pastor, college pastor, worship leader, and pastor ever since. Charlie and his wife Becky were married in 1997, and within a few years they began to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

After 5-years of pastoring a home fellowship, Charlie, Becky, and their three daughters began attending New Life City in pursuit of finding a place to grow and have richer encounters with the Holy Spirit.  A few months later, Pastor Alan offered Charlie a part-time job as our youth pastor. In 2010, Charlie stepped away from serving as a teacher at Hope Christian School to serve full time at New Life City.  Now, Charlie serves as our Senior Associate Pastor serving the pastoral staff, providing guidance and support to the preschool, children, and youth ministries, and overseeing various ministries within our church. His life mission is to love people well and to communicate the Good News of Jesus.
