OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Position Summary

We are looking for an Office Administrator to help maintain and improve New Life City’s office environment and to provide support to church staff in our daily tasks. This is a 32-hour/week position, Tuesday through Friday and one weekend service.

Office responsibilities, in part, include reception work, maintaining logs of resources, prepping for the weekend services and special events, joyfully communicating with various types of people, and running errands.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a team-based setting, gathering feedback, and managing multiple tasks.

  • Intuition and ambition to see and accomplish what needs to be done.

  • Understanding of how to fruitfully engage with various types of people and temperaments.

  • Knowledge of and engagement with New Life City’s beliefs, vision, and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage data entry and organization of our online database.

  • Perform general housekeeping tasks in office and kitchen.

  • Maintain logs of resources, sign outs, and sign ups.

  • Coordinate volunteers through phone, email, and in-person.

  • Answer calls, take messages, and provide help to guests.

  • Order supplies for the office and staff.

  • Maintain the copy room and assist staff with printing, paper cutting, etc.

  • Ability to run errands such as Costco and Post Office visits.

  • Schedule appointments for staff.

  • Write clear and engaging copy that informs and inspires people to participate in the mission and activities of New Life City.

  • Keep minutes of our weekly staff meetings and assist with follow-up of assigned tasks.

  • Coordinate baby dedications, baptisms, and similar events with pastoral staff and create certificates and/or purchases small gifts.

  • Assist with logistics and needs for special events and conferences.
