Communicating the Good news of Jesus
Chuck was born and raised in Texas. At the age of 12, he felt the call of God on his life pointing him to a future in full-time ministry. After serving a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, Chuck moved to Albuquerque in 1994 to attend the University of New Mexico and started volunteering as a youth pastor at Highland Baptist Church. Chuck has been in pastoral ministry since then, serving in various churches as youth pastor, college pastor, worship leader, and pastor. Chuck married his wife Becky in 1997, and a few years later they began to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
After a 5-year season pastoring a home fellowship, Chuck, Becky, and their three daughters ended up at New Life City in 2005, looking for a family and a place to grow and have richer encounters with the Holy Spirit. A few months later, Pastor Alan offered Chuck a part-time job as youth pastor. In 2010, Chuck stepped away from 10 years as a teacher at Hope Christian School to serve full time at New Life City. In addition to leading the worship ministry, Chuck oversees the pastoral staff, provides guidance and support for the preschool, children, and youth ministries, oversees Transformation Weekends, assists with newcomer connection and assimilation, and preaches from time to time. His life mission is to love people well and to communicate the Good News of Jesus, which he does through songs, books, and sermons.
