Fiercely pursuing Jesus & His plans for our children
Amber grew up in Albuquerque attending The Vineyard where she received a strong spiritual foundation as well as exposure to church planting efforts and life lived with the Holy Spirit. In 2004, Jesus ignited Amber’s call into ministry through her service as a teacher in the New Life City Preschool Ministry and later as director for the Nursery and Preschool Ministry. A graduate of the University of New Mexico, Amber has been strongly influenced by her coursework in early childhood education and development, as well as her studies under the Bethel Children’s Leadership Transformation School, the NLC School of the Kingdom, and her studies related to relational based parenting and therapeutic parenting models. She and her husband Brad also serve as foster parents to children in crisis situations. Together they have 12 children in their home, which includes a mixture of bio, adoptive, and foster children.
In 2018, Amber joined the New Life City staff as the children’s pastor overseeing the nursery, preschool, and elementary school ministries. Her goal is to follow the Holy Spirit to serve alongside families and establish strong biblical and spiritual foundations in kids such that, together, they raise a generation of children who never know life without a relationship with Jesus Christ. Amber’s life mission is to spend each day choosing a life well-lived—a life devoted to serving God and fighting fiercely for all He calls her to do.
