Strengthen Yourselves in the Lord

Submitted by gail on Tue, 04/21/2009 - 22:05.

Ok, I haven't done this in awhile.  I am posting because of a conversation I had with Alan tonight about my class based on Bill Johnson's book, Strengthen Yourself in the Lord.

We were discussing the chapter on thankfulness tonight.  Being thankful is one of the tools Pastor Bill lists as a way to strengthen yourself.  As I was preparing for tonight's class, the Lord gave me these thoughts about our lives, so I write them here for you.

What we think affects how we act...how we act affects how we behave (which for me is how we act over and over)....how we behave affects what we receive....what we receive affects how we  live....and how we live affects the fruit we bear.

Ways of thinking begin in our mind....those thoughts determine our emotions....they affect  our actions....which creates our lifestyle....which produces fruit in our lives....which creates our inheritance....which leaves our legacy.

So we all must decide now what we want to leave as a  legacy.  We were taught this weekend by Kris Vallotton that we are not living just for ourselves....we are living for future generations.  So we all must decide to live with a purpose and on purpose.  This challenges each of us to focus and learn to strengthen ourselves in God....we must run our race with endurance and victory for all those who come behind us!

Deu 10:21 “He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.”

I am greatly encouraged as I speak to those of you who have the witness in your spirit that God is leading us in this fast. I am blessed to see the ways in which the Lord is already working in our lives.

Blessings,

Mama Gail

Exd 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.”

Ok, let’s admit it…we will only accomplish this fast from negativity with the Lord’s help. He truly is our strength and our song.

Keep the faith, do not get discouraged with well doing….and have a great day in the Lord.

Blessings,

Mama Gail

verse for Friday, May 1st

Submitted by gail on Fri, 05/01/2009 - 12:05.

1Ch 16:9 “Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.”

I hope you are beginning to share the testimonies of God’s goodness with others during this fast. The testimony increases our faith and builds a platform on which God can do again the miraculous.

Blessings,

Mama Gail

GREAT SIGHT.21

The Zombie Preparedness Initiative is a place for ideas. We embrace those who take time to think and prepare properly for all events. We should hope you take time to think about what you want to say and then take the time to say it properly. Submitting articles, antivirus software making posts, or creating stories that lack proper forethought, grammar, or spelling, or posts that make us wonder why, dear lord, why we took the time to read will get you a warning and a ban quite quickly.Using an abundance of swear words or profane language will quickly make the admins and moderators question your intelligence and probably earn you a ban. What constitutes swearing? If it's allowed on network television, it will be allowed here, norton antivirus at least in moderation. If you can make cursing an interesting part of the post, we might let it slip. If we feel it is unnecessary or disruptive, we'll respond by warning you and then suspending you. Of course, it's best to be on the safe side, it might be best to assume that ANY AND ALL CURSING might just mobile phone software be considered unnecessary. Even words like damn, hell, etc. should be limited as they are words that create emphasis when used properly, but become distasteful if used too freely.
