I married the man of my dreams and we quickly were called to ministry. In fact, I felt called to be a missionary at the age of 12. I am thankful for the Christian upbringing I had with wonderful parents. My father passed away on my 11th birthday, which became a point of pain in my life that God would heal 33 years later.
I was taught that one’s passion usually comes out of their place of deepest pain. My greatest passion is to help others learn to strengthen themselves in the Lord. Many years of my life, I was the one “like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” (James 1: 6-8) I truly needed God to teach me to strengthen myself.
God called me to the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in the fall of 2006, and I completed one full year there. It was the best and most difficult year of my life. It was difficult to be away from my husband, my home and my church, but God changed my life there. I know now that He needed to rid things in my life that I was not even aware were there. He accomplished His purposes that would propel me into ministry alongside Alan at New Life City. I was ordained into ministry in the fall of 2006 and was put on staff in the fall of 2007.
God spoke to me about teaching others to strengthen themselves in Him that fall, and I have been doing that since then. What a joyful journey! I’m still learning myself and am grateful I have a wonderful NLC family to do that with!
